Lamb Champs is a six part series for Kyknet that follows six South African lamb farmers as they prepare to compete in a national competition called Lamb Champs.
The series is directed by Morné du Toit and presented by Minki van der Westhuizen and episode by episode it unwraps what it means to be a farmer in South Africa. Light is thrown on the challenges that farmers face as well as the joy and satisfaction that they gain by doing what they do. Not everyone can be a farmer; as the saying goes, a farmer is bred, not created and working on this series really drives home how important the industry of Landbou is.
I graded and finished the series, as well as handled the occasional online task. Set in the Karoo, there was a lot of magnificent footage, shot expertly by Eduan Kitching, to feast my eyes on.
